Sweet book my daughter and her children gave to me. They know how much I enjoy all things quilty! The scripture and devotions are sweet!

Hexagon Quilt
I need a therapist! But I really do not want an intervention...I am unapologetically hooked on making fabric hexagons. I have made Helen's Flower Garden quilt and am currently working on a scrappy hexagon quilt...can't wait to get it finished!

One Month Later...
Still unbelievably cold for this time of year in this area! We have had snow, below-freezing temps for days and days. But God has blessed! In spite of the weather, business remains steady - even when it's too cold to be out shopping!

Weather Issues
Didn't open Whistle Stop today because of the extremely cold weather around here. My building tends to be chilly when it's cold and when my fingers are cold, I can't do embroidery! Guess I'll make that pot of coffee and hug a cup all day while I stay on the move to stay warm. And shoppers aren't going to be out in this chill - free coffee if they are!

Blogger's Day Two
I'm so excited - I have a comment and a follower! (Hats off to you Vivian, my blog mentor.) I love quilting and sewing as much as I love having a business of my own, so I've already changed my blog name! I've combined my two interests - selling and sewing - and used both in my blog's name. Ahhh - the birth and growth of a blog. I don't know yet how to add "blogs of interest" to my blog, but when I do figure out how to add those I will be pasting those names all over the place so I can get to them quickly and see what everyone's sewing. Love it! This blog was intended to relay the interesting things that happen at Whistle Stop, but I see it's going to also include a lot of quilting conversation, too. Fun!! God bless you all!

A Beginning Blog
Many interesting people pass through Whistle Stop in any given week. In the past, I kept a handwritten journal of their interesting stories or circumstances. Later I typed their stories on the computer in a running narrative. However, a BLOG is the best way yet to record my encounters and let others know about these unique events. It will be interesting to see how this progresses!
